About

Chaparral Physics began manufacturing infrasound sensors in the 1950s. Our sensors are robust, and we have a lengthy track record of producing quality sensors. Our new models are low noise, low power, not sensitive to seismic waves or elevation changes, and very rugged – they are used in some of the harshest environments on Earth – from the flanks of volcanoes in Alaska to the ice fields of Antarctica.

Chaparral Physics also produces precision data loggers for the corrosion protection industry. These are extensively field tested and designed in close collaboration with corrosion protection engineers and technicians working on Alaska's remote pipelines. Customers choose our combined CP data loggers/interrupters for their reliability, ease of use, and data integrity features.
